I want to buy a digital camera that can record 1080p video and takes high quality pictures. However I have a limited budget so I need a good camera at a . Any suggestions on what to buy?

A good digital camera?

I'm looking for a digital camera that can take good photos and can shoot in 720p or 1080p with sound.
My price range is about $ 200-$ 250.

you need to mention your budget.

1000 dollars is not a bad budget. You could get a good DSLR with that money.

I would recommend Canon t3i ( also known as canon 600d). It’s a new model, which hasn’t hit the stores yet i guess. But it’s gonna be launched very shortly.

It’s an upgraded model of the very popular canon t2i (also known as canon 550d).

The canon t3i has better features specially suited for video as compared to the t2i.

Though canon t2i itself is a great camera , t3i had better features for video recording and it takes good pictures, just like the t2i.

Buy it with a kit lens or buy the body only and get a 50mm standard lens.

I’d say the Nikon D3100.
You get the most for your money, it takes high quality photos and can take 1080p video with AF
selling now for under $ 600 which also gives you room to spend on extra equipment like bags, lenses, and tripods.

Nikon D3100. I think you can buy it now for like $ 599. It records in 1080p and it’s a DSLR with continuous auto focus while you are shooting video!

i would suggest a canon picture from walmart but they are 500
