Is a HDMI cable required for 1080p resolution on the XBOX 360?
I just got a new 1080p TV and my xbox won't work over 1080i resolution.
This is a short clip from www.BestHomeTheaterGuide.com A series of full length Hi-Resolution Videos are found in a Mini-Course offered called "7 Secrets of Home Theater". The course is Free.
Are there any Monitors i can get that have Component input and have 1080p resolution?
I figured it'd be better to buy a typical computer monitor to play my ps3 on, rather than an expensive HDTV. Are there any monitors out there that have component input (the red, yellow, and white wires) in the back, along with all that HDMI stuff so i can use the 1080p resolution? I dont care what the price as long as its under 200. Thanks (:

i believe so
yes plus ur 360 should have a hdmi port ^^
No componet cables are capable of displaying 1080p. you have to update your console. then go into the HD settings and change that around to 1080p and wide screen.
Red/white/yellow is *composite*, not component. Composite is not capable of passing HD signals. There are plenty of monitors with an HDMI connection, which is 1080-capable. What’s wrong with that?
That’s composite, sorry. It’s quality is similar to analogue TV, so very poor (around a quarter of the resolution of Full HD).
You will want one with DVI or HDMI input rather than component which is blue green red + red and white for audio. Samsung build good quality monitors that should be more than sufficient for gaming. If it has a DVI input, you can buy a DVI – HDMI lead these days that is usually quite cheap.
