HD camera vs HD Camcorder?

Which better for bucks, does HD camcorder produce similar or better video than HD camera like the Kodak HD series? I not sure if I wanna investing over 600-1300 for a HD camcorder compare to 100-300 camera that can shoot HD video.

Answer by lare
First, an HDV camera can put 1 hour of video on one miniDV tape. The standard card supplied with the Kodak will record just 30 seconds of video. It would take 4 changes of 2 gig cards to store video at 720 Mpeg 4 that is one half the resolution as 1 hour of HDV 1080 Mpeg2.

Second do you use a camera card once? miniDV tapes are so cheap, that they are self-archiving, no need to erase.

Third. How is the audio quality of the Kodak, or are you planning on making silent movies? miniDV is professional standard 48 k uncompressed .

fourth, does the Kodak allow zooms while shooting, does the autofocus work on moving shots, with the autoexposure react on the fly while shooting.... is it a movie camera or a with extra storage space on the memory card?

There is a lot more to television than just counting pixels.

I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the layout of your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?
